TET Party Reunion Meetings

Starting this coming Monday Oct 23rd, 2017

Rochester VFW 7:00 PM

Hope to see you there!

From one of our own VVA 862 LIFE members, Bill McNees who was an Attorney in Beaver for 45 years and has since retired and is now living in St. Augustine, Fl.

Next Tuesday - October 24th - 10:30 PM

Most of us should be able to view it on regular WQED here in Pittsburgh Area

My brother Walt and his Medivac crew are the subject of a documentary to be shown on public TV in the coming week.. Walt was a Medivac helicopter pilot with the First Air Cav in Vietnam. His chopper was shot down on Valentine's Day 1969 and two crew members were lost.

A few years ago his helicopter was picked out of an aircraft graveyard in Arizona. Those people then worked backwards to locate the crew. They rehabilitated the helicopter and made it a work of art to make it a center piece for PTSD awareness among servicemen and the general public. The helicopter has traveled extensively for that purpose.

In addition they made a very high quality documentary which has been sold to Public Television.

The following is a schedule of where it can be seen in the different geographic areas where you all live.

Please tune in to view it.

Also, if you notice that I have missed anyone that you think might want to view it please forward this email to them.

Extra Notes Received over the weekend.

My nephew in Beaver County told me that Comcast customers do not get WQED World. They can only watch it on Tuesday October 24 at 10:30pm.

FIOS and Armstrong customers get both channels.

I don't know if this helps.

Thank you for sending out this information so quickly.

More background if you are interested.

(Brief History)

When did it all start? We needed 25 to sign a charter,
Our first meeting was organized by Lloyd "Skip" Haswell and held on Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at Boscov's Department Store in the Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca, PA.  We only had 17 attend.

We waited for 3 months, Skip put an ad in the Beaver County Times and tried again!
The next meeting was held at the Monaca American Legion on Wednesday, July 19, 2000 where we had 53 attend, therefore, we signed the charter that night and we have met every month since then. An "Election of Officers" was held that evening, and we were on our way
